I read your article in the Sunday Mirror yesterday and felt that I had to reply in defence of Club La Costa.
I have been on many timeshare visits with different companies, and Club La Costa was the most helpful and the only ones not to have pushy sales people. I have sat in meetings with them and then gone away to think about whether or not I wanted to take advantage of the scheme and then went back to agree. I have only been treated with the utmost respect and helpfulness at all times. I was never offered a scratch card; indeed, we were told by Club La Costa never to go with companies who offer scratch cards. The person who had the problem featured in your article must have been a one-off. I have stayed at their hotels/apartments and everyone I have met on these holidays has agreed that the company is most family-orientated and that the accommodation is to the highest standard. My father is disabled and came on a holiday with us. Club La Costa bent over backwards to find accommodation suitable for him.
Amazing how journalists have had so-called touts approach them and we never have. Personally, I think that this is a first rate company who do not have pushy sales people.
I wonder if you will print this in reply to your article?!

We recently stayed at the Gold Coast Raddison Resort, Queensland, Australia. Absolutely magnificent! Beautiful setting, top-class rooms and service. It is the first hotel restaurant that I have dined in every night. The food is first class and very reasonably priced, in fact, less than some local restaurants.
I would totally recommend this venue to members and advise they don't go looking for restaurants - eat in for great food, great service and a great price. Great climate too. The Raddison Gold Coast Queensland is spot on for Club La Costa.
Now looking forward to the next one in Tenerife!
Glad to be a member.
Sincerely,

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed my recent stay at Hustyns:
My parents joined CLC in 1986 and I took over their membership about 8 years ago. I have never been disappointed with a CLC holiday and this one was no exception. The apartment and facilities were excellent, and the grounds a delight. But as usual it is the standard of your staff that is CLC's greatest asset. From the cleaners to the restaurant/bar staff, from the gardeners to reception, all are first class.
I look forward to a return visit, hopefully next year.

We have just returned from the most fantastic trip to the Austrian Alps where we stayed at the Club La Costa Alpine Centre. We went for a relaxing break and planned to do nothing but read books and enjoy the scenery. How wrong we were!
From the moment we arrived at the airport in Salzburg we felt completely at home. We quickly picked up our hire car (highly recommended) and set off for the Alpine Centre, just outside of Saafelden. On arrival, as usual we were greeted with a very warm welcome and shown to our chalet.
The week began with a welcome evening meal and was complimented by traditional Austrian dancers and singers. A great night was had by all, and this set the scene for the rest of the week. Having planned to do nothing at all, we ended up on the 2.3km dry toboggan slope, walking 10km around the lake in Zell Am See, driving up to Kaprun, the only ski resort open in September, having breakfast in a traditional mountain hut and walking up and down more mountains than I can remember, all of which are no more that a 10-minute drive from the Alpine Centre. In fact, there was so much to do we didn’t have time to fit it all in!
The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, the air is clean and fresh, the people of Austria are very friendly and the accommodation fantastic, with an indoor heated pool and a sauna to help unwind and relax after a full day of activities and adventure.
We can’t say enough about our time in Austria apart from saying it was the best holiday we have ever had and I couldn’t have wished for a better place to propose to my fiancée, especially as she said ‘Yes’!
Thank you very much Club La Costa.

The resort and the village of Turunç are perfect settings for a fantastic family holiday.
We have been made to feel extremely welcome by the staff of the Loryma resort as well as the local people. We are CLC members and highly recommend CLC to continue their partnership with this resort.
The trips have been excellent, enjoyed by the whole family. We will return in the future when the children can take advantage of even more of the activities on offer.
A fantastic holiday, thank you.

Dear Editors,
Congratulations to Club La Costa for giving my family and me, totalling 6 adults and 5 grandchildren, a fabulous week at Sunningdale Village.
As a family it was our first expedition with such a large party. We flew from Gatwick and Manchester and managed to land in Tenerife within 10 minutes of each other. Our transfer arranged through the travel club also went like clockwork. On arrival to our apartments we found them to be of an excellent standard; my wish to have a room next to the pool had also been granted which pleased my grandchildren immensely.
Our excursions where booked on site through Club La Costa to the 'Loro Parque' and 'Aqualand'. Both trips where fantastic and you only have to look at the enclosed photograph at all the smiling faces to see the enjoyment had by all.
The family and children were first timers with Club La Costa. AII adults were amazed by the standards from arrival at Reception to viewing the Restaurant facilities and also experiencing the staff who all individually fulfilled the statement "To give a memorable holiday experience”.
After 4 years we are Diamond members, having been to Paradise x2, Sunningdale x2, Pueblo Marina and Villa Castelle. Next year we have arranged to visit Las Farolas and in 2008 we shall be booking our Ruby Wedding trip to New York, San Fransisco and Hawaii.
Already we are looking forward to travelling with Club La Costa for many more family holidays.
Could you please through the medium of Club La Costa say a Big Thank You to Kevin Greig and for 2007, Terry, for all their hard work and effort with the sales team.
Yours Sincerely,
Gail and Ray Cheetham
